Helping Less-Fortunate Entrepreneurs Get Their Start

This year’s Yoshiyama Young Entrepreneurs have been announced.

For the past three years, the Hitachi Foundation-sponsored program offers up a $40,000 grant and leadership training to awardees who create long-lasting economic opportunities for low-income Americans.

This year’s winners include a service that rents tailored food carts to small food vendors, sustainable housing and a farm and food incubator where entrepreneurs can learn the farm business before going out on their own.
